T-shirt Dress Extravaganza

So this past weekend I traveled up to Waco and had an event at the local boutique Harts N Crafts. I had a lot of fun and it was such a hit we are thinking of doing one again in the near future. Below are some images of the event and some of the dresses I was able to create.

More to come!

So yesterday I spoke with a new boutique in my home town of Buda and they are very excited about my products and are going to meet with me on Wednesday to see what they would like to purchase. God has been to great at paving the way for me and making it so easy. I have stressed out a lot and I am starting to realize there is no reason to. He has it all under control.

It is funny how we like to have the control in so many areas of our lives yet when we finally give that area over to Him it automatically produces good fruit....then you kick yourself a bit because you realize that is what you should have done in the 1st place.

I can proudly say I am giving this business to Him. He can take it where He wants and remove it where He wants. I trust Him to provide.

Prayer Requests:

Better sleep at night for me: I have all my best ideas at night so it is hard to sleep sometimes

Customers: I pray that the right people with come and see and be blessed by what I do.

My new location: Pray that my business blesses the owners of this store.

My other new location: I pray that people will continue to be blessed

What it all Means...

So I went to school for Fashion Design. I was in a class talking about having my very own label and what I would name it. To be honest I didn't have the slightest idea where to even begin thinking up a name, but my teacher went on to say "when you watch red carpet events on TV what do they get asked?" I thought for a second and then of course because I am a fashion major and am supposed to watch all of these red carpet events (but would secretly just browse through the people magazine the next day) I still clearly remembered the question they were all asked...."What are you wearing?" I then knew exactly in that instant what my line would be titled..."Armor of God"

If you aren't very familiar with the term it comes from Ephesians 6:11 as well as other places in the Bible. In the passage we are being instructed to arise every morning and put on God's armor so that we can face the challenges before us that very day.

It reminds me of the story of David and Goliath when David tries to put on the kings armor so he can go out and face the giant, but the armor doesn't fit. I think to myself sometimes "God how could I ever fit into your armor?" but the answer is clear I need to let Him alter it to fit me just right because it is through Him that it can be done not on my own.

Side note: I wanted to start this blog to just keep track of my progress in forming this business. In a way it is going to hold me accountable to keeping it in line with His will.

Thanks for stopping by
God Bless
